There are two types of radon tests:
Passive: These devices do not use power to function and charcoal canisters and alpha-track detectors that determine the amount of radon in your home air supply.
Active: Use Power to function and continuously monitor the air for radon. Generally, these devices are used over a period of 24-48 hours to determine the levels of radon in your home air supply. This type of radon testing has been determined as the most reliable of the two.
If we find radon above the EPA recommended levels we will recommend professionals to mitigate the radon in your home. We DO NOT cover radon mitigation and it requires a trained professional to do properly.
